2009 media predictions

Another intriguing link via Twitter — predictions for 2009 involving what is going to happen with media-related businesses. I feel like I am not holding up my end of the Twittering bargain with all the interesting links other people post. I feel pressure to find more online articles that no one else is reading and post them.

At some point I will figure out how to put my twittering on the sidebar. But, since there doesn’t appear to be a simple widget I can install, I am going to have to mess around with the HTML, and I just have more important things to do these days (such as laundry & feeding Amelia).

Speaking of our daughter — she slept from 10:15 pm to 8:15 am last night. I start ultimate on Wednesday night, and I think it’d be awesome if she’ll have eaten and gone to sleep BEFORE I leave to go, since our session is late (10:15-11:30 pm). So over the next few days we’re going to see if we can get bathtime to start at 8:45-9 pm. That should give me enough time to feed her and put her down before I have to go. Of course if it doesn’t work out, it doesn’t work out. But, there’s no harm in trying.

Speaking to a mom-to-be yesterday, she said she really likes Claudia’s Choice laundry detergent. Since I was shopping for Amelia’s (organic cotton) mattress for her crib today, I picked up some detergent to give it a try as well. We’ll see how well it does on stains.

I have been loving having Ian home these past few days. Sharing parenting is so much easier than doing it on your own. Obviously we share as much as we can, but it is mostly just Amelia and I during the week (at least in the daytime). It is wonderful to have someone else who can play with her or hold her while she sleeps so that I can do little things like laundry and making a sandwich.

My New Year’s resolution is to stop using the word “like” when I speak. I’ve made this resolution once before, and it seemed to work…for a while, but then somehow it creeps back into my vocabulary.
