On Monday, Ian called me to come upstairs and see what our daughter was doing. As I reached the top of the stairs, there he was, holding onto her hands as she put one foot in front of the other to walk down the hall. This kid is definitely going to be skipping the crawling stage! In the past few days she has also figured out how to get her feet into her mouth, and has begun shaking her head “no.” She finds this hilarious and will do it and then wait for you to shake your head before she does it again. She isn’t doing it to say “no,” obviously (at least not yet).
Yesterday afternoon after taking the dog for a walk, we sat on the front porch and watched the people go by. Our street is good for people-watching since many who live nearby and take the metro use our street to get to and from the public transportation system. It was still sunny and relatively warm and Amelia loved just hanging out watching the steady stream of dogs, kids and 9-5ers pass in front of the house.

Mmm, toes are yummy!
This kid is mighty strong and precocious!… And cute too!
