My Dad & bro are climbing Mount Kilimanjaro this week.
Here’s an email sent from my dad to my mom last night from his blackberry:
“In case u get this we are now at 2nd camp going to bed. It was a 5 hour trek today all uphill. Lack of oxygen started to affect people and I’m [...]

We went to our last wedding of the summer this weekend. We actually have another scheduled, but it is in mid-August and in BC, so it just seems like a little bit too far of a trek for me at around 8.5 months. Plus there is no doubt we will still be settling into the [...]

Some years I am pretty good at sending out my cards, on time and to all the people on my list. Other years the cards [...]

This’ll definitely make Christmas morning less hectic chez les Fischers, and I think we’ll all appreciate cutting back on the excesses. [...]

I like to take pictures. I really liked to take pictures back when my telephoto lens wasn’t somehow filled with sand from Hawaii and actually functioned. My small digital camera is also somewhat beaten up, as the cover won’t really “cover” the lens anymore. *Sigh.* All this to say, check out some of Ian’s dad’s [...]

One of the Mephisto boys, and a good friend, is travelling around Australia right now. He has some pretty cool pics up, and worth a look. Makes you want to visit for sure.

It was a packed sports weekend. First we saw the Habs thrash the Thrashers on Sat night. Good game, Huet played great (if Souray hadn’t scored on his own net, Huet would have had a shut-out) and the Atlanta goalie had some really nice saves too. Plus they honoured Serge Savard by retiring #18 to [...]
