I guess I’m a natural planner and list-maker but still found that challenging at the beginning with a child in the house. I think practice makes perfect though; it comes more naturally to me now, because over time I’ve developed a lot of strategies and generally adapted to quicker meals.
One thing that saved my life when LP was a newborn is freezer cooking. Towards the end of my pregnancy, I started making double batches of everything and freezing them. Then, my mom came over for a weekend and we went on a cooking extravaganza. We stocked both our freezers and it lasted for about two months at the beginning. We didn’t always feel like eating this type of reheated food, but it was great because we always had options.

No one is cut out for lists and planning but it does
make things easier in the long run. Your time will
be much less. You need to recruit folks to cook for
you for the first little while. : ) Just a couple extra
meals a week that you didn’t have to make, can help.

We have the same book, and Owen also loves it! He especially likes pointing to the duck (something about ducks, he loves them) and the train and going “choo choo!”
It does sound like Ian and Amelia had a terrible, horrible no good very bad day! I hope tomorrow will be better!

Indeed this is a nice poem.

As a father I found it is such an incomparable joy to be a Papa and now a Grand-papa and I am so thankful for the moments of my life both have and are still giving me!

You look so healthy Al, no one should say anything detrimental
but people are people and awkward at saying the right thing many times. You carry your pregnancies very well. The second time around you already have a first to think about and that can make it
harder or easier. With you I didn’t put on too much weight but
with Dan at the end I retained fluid and well for my height……..
I was very big. It all comes off very fast when you are running after
two little ones and nursing so all the talk from others means
nothing………in just a short time. You look great and healthy.
You don’t seem tired. I felt very tired at the end of my pregnancies.

Glad that isn’t you.
