Now we are three

This year, at my brother’s request, our family is giving up the tradition of over-gifting, and instead will donate all the money we would normally spend on gifts for each other to a charity/charities. This’ll definitely make Christmas morning less hectic chez les Fischers, and I think we’ll all appreciate cutting back on the excesses. We can just go extra-crazy eating more delicious Turkey & Pie!

You can be sure, however, that I will be treating myself to at least a few goodies off the NYT most notable books of the year list. I’ll need something to do, since I won’t be unwrapping all those presents!
