more on the cloth vs. disposable debate

So, some of you might be bored to tears on this issue, but I actually find it very interesting (aside from the being a mom-to-be who needs to figure out what diaper system we are going to use). A friend who works at Seventh Generation sent me this link, when I asked him about what the benefits of using SG diapers are. His argument is essentially that by not using chlorine to bleach the diapers (which is an unnecessary step, apparently), it is better upstream for the environment.
Anyway, this article is pretty interesting, particularly the people arguing in favour of cloth diapers. I am not sure the people on the pro-cloth diapers side of the debate believe they are a representative sample of the population, but I don’t know ANYONE who would have the time to invest as they do. It is definitely impressive, although I am not sure it is practical on a larger scale because I doubt people are interested in or willing to sacrifice convenience for all that hard work, just to “potentially” benefit the environment.

Firend of mine use the “g” diapers, and they seem like a great choice–check them out–I might already be convinced that they are the best way to go! Then again, I haven’t done much research on it! But they seem pretty amazing!
Have you thought about going diaper-free?

interesting idea (not sure how practical, though) …
