A while ago I discussed wanting to check out products from Yes To Carrots because they were paraben-free, among other things. I have been using their facial moisturizer and body moisturizer for a couple of months and so far so good. I think the facial cream smells better than the body cream, but neither fragrance is overpowering to me. The facial moisturizer (day) is rich enough that I don’t think I need to use the night version. However, both products contain sweet almond oil. And while this is no problem for me, it could potentially be a problem for Ian. He says he is not allergic to the oils of a nut, only the protein, but I read up on it and apparently the oils used in products can contain enough protein to induce a reaction in some people.
So, I am still looking for alternatives. I would like to check this company out next. It doesn’t look that expensive and their products sound delicious. Apparently in Canada you can get their products at Sephora. Of course that doesn’t help me since we don’t have one in Montreal, so if I do test any of this stuff out, I will have to order online.
**I stand corrected. Sephora does exist in Montreal at Fairview and St. Bruno! Who knew?
There IS Sephora in Montreal… at least if you’re willing to come out to the West Island. There’s one in Fairview, and I could probably be convinced to go there and check it out for you at some point :)
Hey! Just in case you didn’t know, they opened a Sephora in St Bruno and Fairview malls… if you are ever out either of those ways… could be a nice field trip for Amelia! ; )
