publishing and the future

Another interesting link via Twitter that no doubt we would have debated in one of my publishing classes at NYU, were I still in school. I find it funny that since I no longer work in book publishing, I don’t really think about the state of the industry, who is getting axed from which publishing house, or who is buying whom. Sometimes I wonder whether I should think about getting back into the book world, but mostly I am thankful I can work in publishing without having to deal with all the pressures and upheaval that takes place regularly.
