Reading

Amelia really loves looking at books. We typically read at least five or six books each day, sometimes as many as 10 or 12. Her favourites right now seem to be the Sandra Boynton board books, particularly But Not the Hippopotamus. She gets noticeably excited when you take that book out and as you can see from the video below, likes to try her hand at “reading it” herself. Once again the camera is somewhat of a distraction, but you get the idea. Usually she stares intently at the pictures as you are reading and tends to try to turn the pages herself if it is close enough to her.
