Amelia has her first cold. Overall I would have to give her an A+ rating for good behaviour while feeling miserable. She’s been mostly happy and smiling and trying to ignore the fact that she can’t breathe through her nose. As Ian told Amelia earlier this week, she is coping much better than he does when he is sick.
On Canada Day while we were at the park, Amelia managed her longest free stand to date. She let go of Ian’s arm and kept herself up for about 3 seconds before slowly lowering herself down to the ground in controlled fashion. She also has been working on moving from one object to the other while standing and it won’t be long before she’s cruising around the furniture.
Amelia will be attending her first tournament this weekend, as both Ian and I are playing. Should be fun for all of us, I hope.
Despite her cold, she discovered that she could stand up holding onto the toilet and flush it repeatedly.
Cheeky.
Ha! At least Ian can admit that nothing is worse than the man cold.
If she’s showing interest in the toilet, it’s a good time to stick a potty in the bathroom – just for her to play with.
