It is hard to believe that it has already been six months since Amelia was born. But it seems equally difficult to remember what life was like before we had her. On Saturday she got to see great grandma Fischer who stopped by for a visit. And yesterday we brought Amelia with us to a brunch with friends. Amelia was an absolute angel. She was a little hesitant right at the beginning, but after a few minutes she was happy to be passed around from person to person, giggling and smiling and clearly enjoying herself.
Although it is quite cold this morning, the weather has been nice the past few days so we have been taking many walks as a family. We love wandering around the neighbourhood and looking at all the houses. It has been so beautiful and sunny, in fact, that we’ve been by the local ice cream store twice. They have a delicious flavour called tire d’erable, which is essentially maple syrup in ice cream. Since they only serve it in the spring, we have to get our fix now!
She may be small, but she has tons of personality. Here’s proof:
