The past few days, Amelia has had a hard time falling asleep at naptime. I’m not sure whether she is getting more teeth (the usual reason for her having a tough time napping), going through a growth spurt, or something else. Luckily, she’s not upset by being left alone in her room to “rest.” Rather, she happily chats to herself and her toys until I return to get her. However, this means by late afternoon she’s overtired and a little sensitive. Yesterday I took her for a walk around 3:30 pm and within about 10 seconds of getting into the stroller she was asleep.
I put her down at 1 pm today, went back around 2 pm and took her out of the crib and we read books for 30 minutes and then tried napping again. She was asleep very quickly and slept for about 90 minutes. Is it possible she can last from 6:30 am until 2 pm or 2:30 pm before napping? I don’t know. I guess we’ll try a few things and see what works best for her.
PS: Don’t forget about the book giveaway. Last day to comment is Friday!

It does seem that the best thing to do would be to try different
approaches to nap time.
Something will work. Don’t think she is
ready to give up napping yet. Sometimes
trying an earlier nap is better even if it interfers
with lunch. I always found that the late afternoon
naps were not as restful for anyone.
I think we are teething too – the upper front ones. Loss of appetite, skipping 1-2 meals per day and wanting to be cuddled all the time, our poor monkeys :(
