I generally don’t buy Ian anything techno-geeky for presents since he knows better than I what is out there and what is good/bad. Nonetheless, I thought it might be cool to surprise him with an easy-to-use, portable video camera so we could film Amelia’s “firsts.” I ended up ordering the Flip Mino HD (Amazon.com was having a deal on it) and it is awesome! We have taken 12 videos of Amelia already! It is really easy to use and you can upload straight to YouTube. I will do some editing of some of the footage we took, but I thought I would post the thumb sucking video as it is because it is ridiculously cute (in our opinion).

* The light isn’t great in the video but it was night and we didn’t have the lights in her room turned up very high.

In a house update, we have mostly finished unpacking the upstairs. I have a bunch of boxes left to unpack in my office, and my clothes need to be unpacked in the walk-in closet. But, the master bedroom and baby room are good to go! Next step – basement. It will be the toughest to unpack since there are way more boxes down there than there is place to fit all the stuff. We’ll have to figure out where else in the house we can put those things.

I’ll try to get some photos of the house and post them over the holidays. We are hosting Christmas dinner this year, so I might not post that frequently over the coming days as we try to get ready.

Happy Holidays to all!
