At the end of last month we sold the condo. It was a relief to get it off our hands, particularly because the condo board had decided that the roof needed redoing and were going to charge us an arm and a leg for our portion. I also worked a couple hours a day for about three weeks at the end of June, and coached a bunch of ultimate. Life has been pretty jam-packed as of late — which means blog posting has fallen lower on the list of priorities.
Amelia is almost 10 months and seems to be in a growth phase. She can cruise easily around furniture although she would rather practice standing without holding on. She can stand alone for at least 10-15 seconds and will often do it while she is either clasping her hands, raising her arms over her head or some other tricky move.
She is babbling all the time and her mamamama sounds more and more like an actual word. At le petit gym she crawls everywhere, up and down the mats at different heights, through little tunnels and up the stairs. She is working on learning how to go down stairs too.
This week Amelia has taken to looking at me before she puts somethig in her mouth to see if I am going to say no. And when I say no, she then does it anyway and smiles. It is so hard not to laugh. But it is amazing that she can be testing her boundaries at such a young age. If I really say “no” loudly she does get a little upset and might start crying. So at least she doesn’t just sit there laughing at me. There is hope she won’t turn into a little rebel!
Oh, and she has two teeth that have broken through on the top, which I think are her eye teeth. Despite whatever discomfort she must be feeling, Amelia is generally smiley and happy. Amazing!
Amelia is almost 10 months! Tick tock is right! Where has the time gone?! Are you back to work in the near future… or are you staying a full-time mommy? (Will you be blog posting about this soon?)
Doesn’t matter how loud I say NO, the girl smiles and does it anyway. Consider yourself blessed, cause as the mom of a rebel I can tell you – it’s a pain in the ass. All the qualities I’d hope for her to have as an adult aren’t as attractive in a toddler…
