Today Ian called me into the baby’s room to tell me that Amelia just sat up by herself. Since I didn’t see it, it was hard to believe that she all of a sudden could sit up. However, when I was holding her later in the day I did notice she was trying to launch herself forward if you were holding her in an upright position. So, this evening Ian sat her up on the bed snuggled into the curved breastfeeding pillow (as we usually do) and she basically put herself into an upright position and then….well, you can see from the video we took of it.
We figure her next move is to roll over. We are currently taking bets on when this is going to occur. Want to take a guess?
Amazing! Is it just me, or is Amelia developing really quickly? Not only physically, but she seems to understand exactly what you are saying to her. Her re/actions fill in for words. You guys sure are great parents! : )
