weekend update

No baby yet, for those of you who are just dying to know. We had a relaxing evening on Friday, and then a packed day Saturday as we celebrated one of my teammate’s birthdays with a bbq on the south shore. Today I went to our local organic market to stock up some essentials (meat for the freezer and organic eggs & veggies) in case I have time to cook more before the baby arrives, or to use once we’re back home and I’m feeling ambitious.
Went for a long walk today with a friend in one of Montreal’s many parks. Still feeling pretty good, although the swollen finger joints aren’t too happy. But, since I don’t really have any other aches or pains, it is hard to complain about swollen fingers when so many other women have much more difficult symptoms to deal with in their last few weeks (or throughout pregnancy, for that matter).
I’m still on a book a day pace, although Ian and I took a break today to watch some of the first season of The Tudors. It is nice to be able to watch several episodes at once without having commercials or having to wait until the next show airs. It’s not as good as Mad Men, but it is still enjoyable.
