I’m pretty sure this video needs no introduction.
Yesterday was St. Jean, a holiday in Quebec. We went to the wading pool with Amelia in the morning. The water was quite chilly so she wasn’t too keen on putting any part of her body in it for the first 10 minutes or so. But after we sat on the edge of the pool for a while and she watched all the other kids play in the water, she let us put her feet in. Then she started splashing around and wanting to put her hands in too. We played in the water for about 10 minutes before she decided she’d had enough. I wouldn’t say Amelia is totally comfortable in the water yet, but it shouldn’t be too long before she wants to climb into the pool herself.
We also got to listen to some great African music at the stage they’d set up a few streets over. Amelia seemed to enjoy the live music. Or maybe it was just the sugar high from having a few licks of my mango sorbet from Bilboquet (which they were giving away free as part of the St. Jean festivities). Ian and I capped off the night with several episodes of Alias. We’re about halfway through season 3 (again). Even though I remember what happens, it is still so entertaining.
